Stuff I want: Marc Jacobs Honey!!! :D

I've written before about my obsession with perfume, so it may come as little surprise that I'm writing about the latest perfume I have become addicted to.  It's ironic that I'm writing about perfume right now because I've just arrived home from a holiday in France-(how I love France!)-, and all I can smell are the 6 packets of Camembert my parents brought back as gifts- gross! However, in case you aren't aware, Marc Jacobs is somewhat of an innovator when it comes to perfume, and Marc Jacobs Honey is the latest in his line of youthful fragrances. This one is my personal favourite, and I'm desperate to buy it. I haven't bought a bottle of it yet, but I'm lucky enough to live in a city where there are quite a lot of department stores, so I can go and try on perfume practically whenever I feel like it. Honey is one of the most summery and delicious perfumes I've ever tried. When I say it's delicious, I mean I literally want to eat it, it smells so good (but I think in reality that would be a bad idea!). As I've almost run out of my current perfume (which is Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, by the way), I'm seriously considering buying it, which really says something, because I usually don't have enough money to invest in luxury items like perfume. Luckily I have some birthday money left to spend!

It's hard to ignore how gorgeous the perfume bottle is. Marc Jacobs' perfumes are known for having quirky and stylish bottles, and  Honey's bright yellow, spotted bottle is no exception. I keep having to remind myself that it's not the bottle I'm planning to spend £60 on. I've always loved perfume and how it makes me feel: providing me with confidence and generally putting me in a better mood each morning. This is a really, really, really bright, vibrant and cheerful fragrance. Everything about it spells summer, and it's the kind of perfume that instantly puts one in a good mood. For anyone looking for a new perfume, particularly one with a youthfulness and playfulness to it, I would seriously recommend Marc Jacobs Honey.

For me, the only problem I have with buying this perfume is that, in the fashion world, summer has already ended and the excitement for autumn/ winter fashion is in full bloom. Taking this into consideration, I feel slightly put off from buying Honey, as, if I'm going to spend a lot of money on this kind of investment, I want it to be one that doesn't feel outdated by the time I use it- and summer products in winter really ARE outdated in the fashion world. As a result, I'm tempted to buy a more mature, demure fragrance to fit in with the way winter makes me feel- and my perfume mirroring how I feel is important to me. We'll just have to see whether I'll end up buying the beautiful Marc Jacobs Honey perfume or not.  Knowing me and my extreme fickleness, it'll probably be spring again by the time I decide which perfume to buy.
